Jennifer A. Dunne is an ecologist with a background in experimental field ecology relating to climate-ecosystem interactions.  Over the last several years, I have shifted methods and now conduct primarily synthetic, in silico research and development.  My current broad interests include computational ecology, theoretical ecology, and ecoinformatics, with a particular focus on food-web research, network theory, and paleoecology.  In general, my work seeks to conceptualize, analyze, and model ecosystems as complex networks of interactions among diverse species.  I am very interested in network topology and dynamics as a framework for exploring ecosystem stability, in terms of internal dynamics as well as robustness to external perturbations such as biodiversity loss.  I am affiliated with three research institutes, and enjoy working in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments.
